What’s New at DADANCO?

Well, for starters we are all experiencing a bit of the Spring delirium that hits most people every year right about now. We want Spring so badly as the aftershocks of Winter remind us of where we are coming from and where we want to run away to… Ahhh, Spring-the language of love, growth, progress, change… Change is good, or so we say. Without change we cannot have progress… otherwise things would stay the same.
Or as Frank Zappa says, “Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible.”
Wish I came up with that line.
On with the change. For starters, Vladimir Petrovic  is now the President of DADANCO.  He is a brilliant man, always flying around the office with zips of energy around him. Zip, zap, crackle. Seriously. That is the Vlad I know. A pool of grandiose ideas.  A visionary.
A little bio:
Vladimir graduated from the Belgrade University in 1992 as a Mechanical Engineer. Moved from Serbia to Australia, where he became the co-founder of DADANCO Pty Ltd in Adelaide and the co-inventor of the patented nozzle technology.  In 1997, he became the CEO and the Managing Director of DADANCO Pty Ltd and two short years later Vladimir was awarded the Entrepreneur Of  The Year by Ernst and Young in Australia.  Wait, there is more.   Vladimir wrote two books: Gas Installation Design Principles and Designing Home Gas Installations Using Copper Pipes, and was the author and co-author of more than three dozen published technical papers.
In 2007, Vladimir relocated to the United States as the VP of the newly birthed joint venture between DADANCO Pty Ltd and Mestek, Inc.-DADANCO-MESTEK JV LLC.  He now resides in Longmeadow, MA, with his family: wife Aleksandra, two daughters Marija and Kata, son Lazar and a St. Bernard big bundle of joy. Vladimir enjoys general aviation and chess.
“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” Herman Cain
Secondly, Daniel Harris is now the Vice President of Engineering.  About time. This man puts in so much sweat and blood into everything he does. Dan owns his space.  He is like a lion stalking our hallways with silent intensity.
 A little bio:
Daniel graduated with an Honors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Adelaide in 2002, joined BESTEC, a consulting engineering company, and within three years blew through the ranks to the post of the Senior Mechanical Engineer.  When 2005 rolled around, Daniel decided to join DADANCO Pty Ltd, the leading manufacturer of active chilled beams in Australia.

In 2007, he relocated to the USA along with Vladimir to help set up the new company.  Westfield, MA, is now his home where he and his family: wife Iluka, daughters Keala and Indie and dog Scooter love to entertain their friends and family.  Daniel is crazy about sports.
